Hen Party in May 2018

I am a little late posting this review in regards to my hen weekend here back in May. Well, where to start!? The bell tents were amazing! Had everything we needed and the mattresses were so comfortable. As this was May the evenings were chilly but we were more than comfortable, warm in our beds at night. The temperature didn't affect us at all. We packed a few extra layers and we were nice and cosy sat around the fire pit and even in the marquee the heat stayed in. There were 20 of us and as they site only accommodates for 12 sleeping with the option of pitching extra tents we decided to hire extra bell tents to save us the hassle from Bath Bell Tent Hire. The toilets and showers were clean and modern. The 'shed' held everything we needed. Fridge, utensils, straws etc. For food and entertainment on the first night we ordered a Dominos delivery and ate around the fire pit. We then moved into the marquee for drinks and hen party games. The next day we went to the Ivy Inn pub for lunch which was only a short walk from the site. The food was good and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. When booking the table at the pub we were informed that they had a drag act in the pub in the evening. As we already had evening plans, they offered to see if "Kitty" would be available to entertain us over lunch. It was very different but WOW she was one of the main highlights of our weekend and our faces hurt by the end of it from laughing so much. Later, back at the site we organised Butlers in the Buff. They ended up as butlers in blankets but it was very funny. We did a bulk buy of BBQ food and 3 cocktail ingredients. When the butlers arrived they made us cocktails and then we played some games. The weekend flew by and everyone loved it. All the girls said they would love to return for a girls weekend break. It's such a beautiful place. Thank you Hampsley Hollow!
